Marykirk’s Jenna Sturrock savoured a Crufts 2017 to remember after her four-year-old Irish Setter, Nolan waltzed off with the prestigious Best of Breed award.
The stunning Mearns pet was one of 22,000 at Birmingham’s NEC for the world’s largest dog show, with this year marking the 126th edition of the event which attracts animals and their owners from across the globe.
Legal analyst Jenna said she could not have been more delighted with Nolan’s performance in the West Midlands.
“To win this was absolutely unbelievable,” said 25-year-old Jenna, a member of the Angus and Kincardineshire Canine Association.
“The quality of the Irish Setters was high, there were over 400 competing.
“But Nolan was on form and just raring to go from the very start and he’s made me so proud,” added Jenna.
Whilst she toasted the success with some bubbly, Nolan was treated to some sweets for his show ring supremacy in front of the big NEC crowd.
This year’s supreme champion at the four-day event was American cocker spaniel Miami Ink.
