A police investigation has been launched following a “series of deliberate fires” at Carnoustie Golf Links.
Emergency services tackled four blazes in and around the Burnside Course last week.
Bushes and shrubbery were damaged on each occasion, resulting in a major clean up operation costing thousands of pounds.
When were the fires?
- Tuesday November 8 at 8:20pm on the 1st hole.
- Friday November 11 at 7:45pm and 9:15pm near the 18th tee.
- Saturday November 12 at 9:30pm on the 2nd hole.
Police said the incidents at the course are being treated as linked as they appealed to the public for information.
The recent blazes come just months after the Buddon Course was targeted.

“Our colleagues at Scottish Fire & Rescue Service have attended at four fires which appear to have been started deliberately.

“On each occasion, damage was caused to bushes and shrubbery, and the cost of clearing up the damage has run well into four figures.
“We would like to emphasise how dangerous these acts have been, as fires can take hold and spread extremely quickly.
