A man has been charged over an Angus road crash from which two drivers miraculously escaped serious injury.
The smash happened at Balgavies crossroads on the B9113 Forfar to Montrose road at its junction with the Letham to Pitkennedy road on Friday morning.
A grey Audi SUV and silver Ford Fiesta were involved.
Both left the road following the collision, which happened around 7.15am.
The Audi landed in a wooded area eastwards of the crossroads, whilst the Fiesta came to rest on its roof down and embankment close to the junction.
The young driver of the Fiesta was taken to hospital but is not thought to have suffered serious injury, and the Audi driver did not require medical treatment.
Police Scotland have now confirmed that a 23-year-old man has been charged in relation to the incident.
A report is expected to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
