Two people – including a child – have been taken to hospital following a crash near Kingsmuir, just outside Forfar, on Wednesday morning.
An eight-year-boy and a woman, 44, were taken to hospital by ambulance following a two-vehicle crash near Dunnichen Road, Kingsmuir.
It involved a white Ford Transit van and red Toyota Yaris.
Police were called to the crash just before 9am.
The road was closed in the aftermath of the crash for recovery vehicles to attend to scene.
The woman and the boy have since been released following treatment.
The van driver was not injured.
‘Inquiries are ongoing’
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.50 am on Wednesday, police received a report of a two-vehicle crash near Dunnichen Road, Kingsmuir, Forfar.
“A 44-year-old woman and eight-year-old boy have been taken by ambulance to hospital.
“Inquiries are ongoing.”
Anyone with information, including dashcam footage, is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 0543 of November 23.
