A man has been charged after armed police were called to Montrose on Friday afternoon.
Armed officers were in the Glens area, along with firefighters, shortly before 5pm, after responding to reports of concern for a person
Police confirmed a 28-year-old man had been arrested and on Monday morning confirmed he has now been charged in connection with the incident.
Nobody was injured.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said on Friday: “We were called around 4.50pm on Friday, December 2, to a report of a concern for person in the Glenlethnot Place area of Montrose.
“Officers attended and a 28-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the incident.”
On Monday they confirmed he had since been charged.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service added: “We went to the scene to assist Police Scotland in an incident.”
‘Worrying to see armed police in the street’
Witnesses described seeing numerous officers with guns and police vehicles at the scene.
One said: “When I passed there were seven police vehicles and a fire service car at the scene.
“There were police officers with guns in the street.
“Nobody seemed to know what was going on but it was worrying to see armed police in the street.”
Another said: “There were several police cars in the street along with police with guns.
“I had no idea what was happening but it was pretty frightening looking.”
