Residents ‘shocked’ at death of man, 90
“I was shocked to hear the news. It’s so quiet here in Forfar, nothing like this ever happens really.
“Police were up at my door yesterday and a few others.
“I’ve lived here 25 years and he’s been here the whole time.”
Another Hillside Road resident said: “He was a fine guy, lived by himself.
“He was an elderly gent. He’s lived in that house longer than we’ve been here and we moved here about 45 years ago.
“He kept himself to himself, he was often just in his house.
“Yesterday at about 1.25pm I drove out and saw police and ambulance coming up the road.”
Another man who lives locally said: “He was a typical old guy.
“I always saw him driving around in his little red car.
“It seems very unusual. Police have been at my door twice and won’t tell us anything.”
