A woman has been taken to hospital following a fire at a flat on Forfar West High Street.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in the first-floor flat shortly after 5pm on Monday.
Three fire appliances were in attendance, along with police and an ambulance.

One woman has been taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, understood to be suffering smoke inhalation.
Steven Nicoll, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service station commander for Tayside, said: “We had three appliances in attendance at a fire in a first-floor flat on the Hight Street.
“One female casualty has been rescued by firefighters and taken to Ninewells Hospital.”
One eyewitness said: “Thick black smoke was pouring out of the flat above the Spice N Ice takeaway.
“Firefighters were wearing breathing apparatus when entering the building.
“West High Street was closed and police were turning cars and pedestrians away. ”
West High Street was closed by police while emergency services deal with the incident.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call at 5.05pm to a fire at a property on West High Street in Forfar.
“Our crews left the scene shortly after 7pm.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.10pm on Monday police were called to a report of a fire in West High Street, Forfar.”
