Two north-east lifeboats were called out to sea today following an alert from an emergency beacon – later found to be in a driveway.
The Stonehaven and Aberdeen lifeboats were launched after the warning was received from the device at about 10.15am.
The lifesavers scoured the seas for about three hours.
However it became apparent the personal locator beacon was located within a boat in a driveway in Stonehaven.
