A dog died after falling from a bridge in Angus this afternoon.
Three fire crews, including a water team, were called to the Gannochy Bridge in Edzell which goes over the River North Esk.
The alarm was raised at around 12.53pm and the dog was found deceased at 2.20pm
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire & Rescue said: “The dog has been recovered from the water. Unfortunately it was not a happy ending.”
