A male driver has been charged after a Forfar crash on Monday night which blocked a main road through the town.
Forfar firefighters had to free a man and a woman from the wreckage of the two vehicles involved in the smash on Queenswell Road, at its junction with Craig O Loch Road, around 8.20pm.
The Vauxhall Vectra and Citroen C3 involved were both extensively damaged.
The two casualties were taken to Ninewells Hospital. Their condition is not known, but they are not believed to have suffered life threatening injuries.
The road remained closed for some time as the scene was cleared.
A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that a 35-year-old man has been charged in relation to road traffic matters.
A report is expected to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
