Former snooker world champion Shaun Murphy will follow in Ronnie O’Sullivan’s footsteps and perform on the green baize in Arbroath.
Murphy, 34, who is nicknamed The Magician, has won more than £3 million in prize money and made over 400 century breaks in his professional career.
The 2005 world champion will play 12 frames at Shotz in Arbroath on Saturday June 10 against ticket holders before taking part in a question and answer session.
Shotz opened in December 2013 and is owned by Ryan Fleming, and his brother Marc, both of whom play international pool for Scotland.
Ryan said Murphy was the “perfect” follow-up to Ronnie O’Sullivan’s appearance last year which sparked ticket demand from as far as mainland Europe.
He said: “After the success of our Ronnie O’Sullivan exhibition last year we were keen to get another top professional booked in but we knew it would be tough to top the two nights with Ronnie.
“Shaun is a perfect follow-up to Ronnie we feel – Ronnie was complete box office whereas Shaun is the complete player but with the great entertaining character to go with it.

“The exhibition will include 12 frames of Shaun playing ticket holders, a 45 minute question and answer session with the audience, some autograph signing and photo opportunities, then afterwards Shaun will be staying in the club until closing time to socialise and make sure every ticket holder gets their chance to have a little chat with him.
“I have met Shaun before at a snooker event and he is just an incredibly down to earth guy for a player who has already won everything in snooker.
“He is a lot of fun – even seconds before going out to play live on TV he will be laughing and joking.
“He really doesn’t take himself too seriously and I think that will reflect in his exhibition.”
Ryan and Marc took a year to convert the derelict fish factory in John Street West into a pool and snooker hall before opening a second club in Dundee.
Shotz has previously hosted world American pool champion Earl Strickland and world darts champion Gary Anderson in two previous exhibitions.
Ryan said Shotz are hoping to continue to bring big stars to Arbroath and he hailed the local community for supporting the events.
Murphy won the 2008 UK Championship and the 2015 Masters which completed his career Triple Crown.
