A young woman was hit by a bus in a late-night Angus road accident.
Emergency services rushed to Forfar following reports that the woman had been knocked over on Saturday night.
There were reports of seven police cars and an ambulance in attendance in Glamis Road until the early hours of Sunday.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital and Police Scotland said she was not seriously injured, despite local reports she was in poor condition.
A spokesman for Tayside Division said: “At 11.05pm a young woman was hit by a bus in Glamis Road, Forfar.
“It looked like she didn’t look up and stepped into the road, purely accidentally.
“She was taken to Ninewells an hour later but was not seriously injured.”
Stagecoach said none of its buses was involved in the incident.
