Fun-loving families lined the streets of Carnoustie at the weekend for the culmination of gala week festivities.
A parade left Panbride industrial estate for the Carnoustie House Grounds on Saturday morning, spearheaded by a fleet of vintage tractors with Carnoustie and District Pipe Band.
And behind them came a number of “floats” containing community and youth groups in fancy dress.
Ahead of gala week, organisers were advised the centrepiece parade would not go ahead without more volunteers.
But a last-minute appeal by word of mouth saved the event.
Displays and events at the show ground included a lorry pull, flyball dog display, falconry, bonny babies, balloon and magic shows, and Angus Centre for Performing Arts.
A spokesman relayed: “A massive thank you to all the gala committee members, volunteers and helpers for helping to organise gala day.
“Also a big thanks to David Murray Transport and the drivers who provided lorries to allow the fantastic displays from the various groups to parade through the town.”
