An Angus family’s desperate appeal for help to find their missing pet has found a happy ending.
East Scryne Fruit Farm near Carnoustie issued a plea an Wednesday night after their wire haired Jack Russell Scruffy went missing.
Hundreds of people shared news of the effort to track her down, but in a late-night message the family said there was no progress.
In an update this morning, the family admitted they were starting to fear Scruffy may have been dognapped.
A dedicated page was set up offering a reward for Scruffy’s safe return — but the news everyone was hoping for came just minutes later when Scruffy was found.
Janet Webster posted: “Phew what a relief”, while Susan Boath said: “Wonderful news!”
