A Mearns lifeboat has been called into action as part of a search for a missing woman.
The Stonehaven RNLI were deployed to Portlethen at noon and are currently scouring the coastline.
They were called at the request of the police following concerns for a missing woman.
Coastguard rescue teams from Aberdeen, Stonehaven and Cruden Bay have also been assembled.
It is unconnected to the search which was launched for Nusrat Jahan, 34.
