Brechin man confirmed as fatal accident victim

Police have formally identified a 28-year-old local man as the victim of Monday’s fatal road accident on the outskirts of Brechin.

Frazer Clark died when his BMW left the A935 Montrose road around 3pm.

Mr Clark’s car was the only vehicle involved and he was pronouced dead at the scene.

It has since emerged that he is the third son and brother of a well-known local family to die in tragic circumstances since 2002. 

Mr Clark has been described as a “gentle giant” in tributes as his mother, Glenda and the family struggle to come to terms with the devastating loss.

Meanwhile, Police Scotland have renewed an appeal for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the crash.

The incident closed the A935 for several hours.

A police spokesman said: “Enquiries into the full set of circumstances of the incident are on-going and Tayside Division would appeal for anyone who may have information that could assist officers with their enquiries to contact Tayside Division on 101.

“As with all sudden deaths a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
