A man in his 20s is being hunted after a weekend Forfar assault which left his victim unconscious.
Police Scotland have issued a description of the person they would like to speak to in connection with the incident which happened at 11.10pm on Saturday on a piece of open ground at the town’s Dundee Loan.
A spokesman said: “A man in his 60s was assaulted and knocked unconscious by another man.
“He suffered injuries to his head and chest in the incident.”
The man being sought by police is described as being as in his mid-to-late 20s, around five feet eight inches tall and of muscular build with short blond hair.
He was wearing a grey t-shirt and grey jacket.
“Anyone with information which could help our enquiry, please call 101 or speak to any Police officer,” added the spokesman.
