Police are hunting cruel thieves who stoles thousands of pounds worth of goods in a festive raid.
Designer handbags, jewellery and electronic items were taken in the break-in to a house in Arbroath’s Glamis Road between midday on Wednesday and 9.30am yesterday.
A window in a rear door was broken and entry gained.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Although we don’t know exactly what was taken at the moment, it appears that electronic items, jewellery and designer handbags were stolen, with a value well into four figures.
“It appears that some time was spent within the property by the person or persons responsible, and a fair amount of noise must have been made when they gained entry.”
Anyone with information should contact 101 or speak to any Police officer.
