Drivers were warned of a large chicken on the loose on the A90 on Friday morning.

Traffic Scotland asked road users to be aware of the incident just before Laurencekirk.

The tweet from the transport body warned of a “large chicken” which it suggested was ”possibly playing chicken”.

Police said they had not been contacted regarding the incident.
