Police are hunting a gang believed to be responsible for a spate of alcohol thefts from Angus supermarket shelves.
They understand a group of foreign thieves half a dozen strong are targeting local outlets and have encouraged the public to raise any suspicions they have.
In relation to the drink thefts, Arbroath community Sergeant Steve Campbell tweeted: “Shoplifters in Angus, beware.
“We are actively looking to identify a group of six foreign nationals, currently targeting supermarket drinks aisles.
“Numerous bottles of spirits being stolen. #Seeanythingsuspicious #TellStaff #CallPolice”
Specific details of the thefts have not been released.
