Carnoustie High School will open on Wednesday after a problem with its gas supply caused closure concerns.
The issue surfaced on Tuesday but late on Tuesday night contractors located the problem and carried out a repair.
Parents had been notified by text that the school would close on Wednesday, but that is not now the case.
The Angus Council Twitter feed reported on Tuesday night: “Update at 23.20 – Work tonight has resolved the gas supply issue and we’re pleased to report that Carnoustie High WILL be open tomorrow.
“Apologies for the lateness of the hour and any inconvenience,” it added.
