Road blocks have been set up in Monifieth following the discovery of an ordnance shell in a garden.
Police Scotland advise Durham Street, at its junctions with Grange Road and North Bank Street, are closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Specialist personnel are in attendance and the closure will remain in place until the matter is brought to a conclusion.
The public are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
