A 22-year-old Arbroath woman has appeared in private on petition at Forfar Sheriff Court on charges of attempting to murder a six-month-old baby.
Shannon Soutter was charged with assault to severe injury, permanent impairment, danger to life and attempted murder.
She made no plea during the brief hearing, was committed for further examination and was released on bail ahead of further court dates being set.
