Fire crews rushed to Arbroath Cliffs on Monday evening to put out a fire in a large area of grass.
One fire appliance attended the blaze, which took hold near the cliff path at Victoria Park.
The 100-metre square fire, which started at around 7pm, was put out an hour later.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the cause of the blaze is not yet known.
