A busy Tayside road was forced to close due to a gas mains issue.
Castle Street in Forfar was shut off and drivers were told to avoid the area on Friday afternoon.
Earlier Tayside Police Division said: “Castle Street in Forfar is currently closed due to (a) gas mains issue. Please can motorists avoid the area for the time being.”
The force updated at about 2.25pm to say: “Castle Street in Forfar is now re-opened. Motorists are thanked for their patience.”
