A 42-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court for a second time on a charge of disfiguring a doctor in an attack at an Angus health centre.
David Gibson, of Montrose, appeared in private at Forfar Sheriff Court following an incident at the Links Health Centre in Montrose on September 25.
The 42-year-old faces a number of charges in relation to the incident which led to a major police response at the Frank Wood Way practice shortly before 5pm.
Gibson faces a petition alleging that he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner and was in possession of a blade.
He is also charged with assault to injury and disfigurement.
He was fully committed and remanded in custody,
Several police units rushed to the centre around 4.45pm following reports of a disturbance there.
It is understood the GP was cut on the hand, but at witness at the scene said the doctor involved had escaped serious injury.
Police said at the time there had been no risk to members of the public.
