Police Scotland have launched an appeal for information after the theft of a number of items, including power tools in Arbroath.
A garage in Demondale Place in the town was broken into between 1am and 10.45am on Tuesday October 2.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The garage was broken into by forcing the door, and a number of items, mostly power tools, were taken.
“These items belonged to the late husband of the resident of the house, and although some have been recovered, many are still missing.
“It also appears that at least one other neighbouring property had an attempt made to break into its garage, as a door was found to be damaged, although entry wasn’t gained.
“From enquiries already made, we believe there is a good possibility that the person or persons responsible were disturbed and made off.
“If you have any information which could assist our enquiries, please call 101 or speak with any police officer.”
Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is CR/24042/18.
