Police have issued a description of an intruder who fled empty-handed after being disturbed during a break-in which may be linked to another nearby incident.
The man broke into a house in Forfar’s Lour Road between 2 and 2.30pm on Friday.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Access was gained to a bathroom from outside, and it appears the intruder was disturbed by the householder, who was home at the time.
“Fortunately, nothing was taken.
“Officers would like to trace a man who was seen nearby at the time, described as about five feet ten inches tall, of slim build and wearing a blue and white checked ski jacket.”
The Lour Road incident followed a number of doors being tried in a close in Viewmount around 9.50pm on Thursday night.
“Entry was gained to one of the flats, but again the intruder was disturbed by an occupant,” added the police spokesman.
“While we cannot yet say for definite whether these incidents are linked, it is being considered a possibility.
