Police are attempting to trace a driver of a crashed SUV found on its roof near Forfar in the early hours of Wednesday.
The wrecked Ford Kuga was found on the B9134 near Pitscandly Park at Lunanhead, but was empty when emergency services arrived.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland attended in Pitscandly Park, Forfar about 3.30am this morning in response to a report of a car on its roof.
“An orange Ford Kuga was found overturned, and a nearby lamp post was damaged.
“The driver was not with the car, and efforts are ongoing to identify and trace them.
“If anyone has any information about this incident, please call 101 and quote incident 0304 of October 24,” the spokesman added.
