Police are investigating after eight vehicles were “keyed” in an Angus town.
The cars were targeted in Carnoustie overnight from Sunday, October 21 into Monday, October 22.
At least eight cars were deliberately scratched by a sharp object in Taymouth Street, Brown Street, Smieton Street and West Smieton Street.
However officers say more vehicles may have been affected that have not yet been reported.
A Tayside Police Division statement reads: “None appear to have been specifically targeted, and this appears to have been a random but deliberate act.
“If you have any information that could assist our enquiries, or if your car has also been damaged in similar fashion in the general area, please call 101 and let us know.
