A man has denied charges of driving dangerously in a police chase through the streets of Kirriemuir, while banned and without insurance.
Callum Davidson, 23, c/o HMP Perth is accused of driving dangerously in St Malcolm’s Wynd, Reform Street and Brechin Road on April 26 this year, failing to stop for police, repeatedly driving at excessive speed and driving on the wrong side of the road in the face on oncoming traffic.
He also faces charges of using a mobile phone while driving, driving whilst disqualified and without insurance, and failing to stop.
Davidson was not present at Forfar Sheriff Court when the case called before Sheriff Derek Reekie.
Sheriff Reekie continued the case to an intermediate diet on January 8, with trial set for January 28.
