The Angus Strathspey and Reel Society held it’s 51st Traditional Fiddle Festival on Saturday 10 November at St Andrews Parish Church, Kirriemuir.
The society was joined by the Edinburgh Reel and Strathspey Society, along with the Shetland Fiddlers.
Poor weather delayed the Shetland ferry, postponing the competitions start time by 90
minutes.
Douglas Lawrence from Glasgow, a Kirrie champion and accomplished fiddler acted as adjudicator, while Joan Blue, was the accompanist.
Young competitors from Angus, Deeside, Perth and Edinburgh also took part.

Anyone interested in joining the society can attend a rehearsal in the social area of the East and Old Parish Church in East High St, Forfar on Mondays from 7.30pm till 9pm. All players welcome.
