Rain-soaked skies cleared to allow Santa a clear run into The Cross for the switch-on of Forfar’s Christmas lights on Thursday night.
Forfar Rotary Club once again staged the event as families flocked to the town centre for children to hand their letters to Santa.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse performed the switch-on, with Forfar FC mascot Baxter the Bridie also mingling with the crowds.
The Rotarians have also been battling the elements this week after starting their traditional Santa’s sleigh collection around the town, which continues until December 18.
