A Mearns man has appeared on a popular TV game show.
Darren Abel from Laurencekirk, who is believed to work in Forfar, appeared on ITV’s The Chase on Monday evening.
The game show puts contestants up against professional quizzers – or “chasers” – who try to block their efforts to win cash prizes.
Alongside fellow contestant Mike, Darren made it through to the “final chase” and went head-to-head with quiz king Paul Sinha.
Host Bradley Walsh fired a string of quick-fire questions at them, 13 of which were answered.
Walsh admitted their performance was “not great” following the round.
The pair played for £10,000 but sadly left empty-handed.
Darren and Mike are playing for £10,000. Do you think they can defeat @paulsinha? ? #TheChase
