An elderly woman has been robbed of her bag by a hooded man in a public park in Brechin.
The 74-year-old was walking near Park Place at around 7.30am on Saturday when she was was approached by the man who grabbed her bag and ran off past nearby football pitches.
The suspect, who was wearing a green jacket and had a large hood covering his face, was then seen heading towards Bog Road.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The male is described as being 5ft 6in in height, wearing a green jacket with a large hood, which was covering his face.
“The male then ran off through the football area of the public park towards Bog Road.
“Fortunately the female was unharmed however she was extremely shaken as a result of the incident.”
