Police had to help remove a broken down crane from the A90 near Brechin on Tuesday night.
The large construction vehicle had stalled on the southbound section of the dual carriageway just north of Brechin at around 5pm.
Police closed one lane for a short time to help clear it from the road near turn off for Edzell.
The lane is now open again.
