High winds associated with Storm Erik have forced rail chiefs to close level crossing barriers at Carnoustie.
The conditions had already forced the closure of the Tay Road Bridge to all but cars and single-decker buses.

Now Network Rail has moved to prevent the barriers at Station Road in Carnoustie from being raised and possibly damaged.
It means drivers of any high-sided vehicles needing access to the beach area will have to use the bridge at East Row.
A Tayside Police Division statement said: “Network Rail have advised that due to high winds the level crossing barriers at Station Road Carnoustie will be kept down.
“Motorists are asked to seek alternative routes meantime. Thank you for your patience.”
