A woman was rushed to hospital after being struck by a car in an Angus town on Wednesday evening.
Emergency services were called to Academy Street, Forfar, at 8.35pm after the vehicle struck the pedestrian and smashed into a wall.
The woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the car was issued a fixed penalty notice for careless driving by police.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland attended in Academy Street, Forfar, at about 8.35pm yesterday evening (April 3) in response to a reported road traffic collision.
“A car was involved in a collision with a female pedestrian before colliding with a wall.
“The pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment with minor injuries, and the driver of the car involved was issued with a fixed penalty notice for careless driving.”
