Arbroath’s RNLI lifeboats were launched on Wednesday night following reports of a missing person.
The request for assistance was received from HM Coastguard just before 10pm and both lifeboats were launched in challenging conditions and limited visibility.
A brief search was carried out along the southern end of the local cliffs before the volunteer crews were stood down when the missing person was located.
