Police are investigating after a man was knocked unconscious after leaving an Arbroath pub.
The 31-year-old was with two friends when he was assaulted on Brothock Bridge, near the Bank of Scotland.
They had been drinking in the neighbouring Central Bar prior to the incident, which took place on Thursday, May 2 between 11pm and 11.30pm.
The man was taken to Ninewells Hospital suffering from a head injury.
A Tayside Police Division statement reads: “Officers are following a positive line of inquiry, however would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed any part of this incident.
“If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with any police officer. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is CR/11359/19.”
