Work is under way on a £45,000 Arbroath pedestrian crossing to end a 12-year safety saga. The puffin crossing is being installed on Keptie Street, between Helen Street and Garden Street. The street was the scene of a fatal accident in 2016. The project was held up due to opposition over the proposed location because of the loss of on-street parking. Angus Council said work is due to be completed in early August.
