Arbroath lifeboat crews came to the aid of a craft hit by engine trouble on Saturday afternoon.
The town’s all-weather and inshore lifeboats were launched just after 1pm following a call for help from the crew of the 42-foot vessel.
It was three and a half miles out when the engine troubles struck.
The yacht was safely escorted back to Arbroath harbour and there were no casualties in the incident.
