Angus weekend event organisers are casting anxious looks skyward after a warning the region could be hit by half a month’s worth of rain in a single day.

Tomorrow’s Perth Highland Games at Scone Palace was cancelled and other events have also been affected by the predicted deluge.
Met Office meteorologist Becky Mitchell said there could be up to four centimetres of rain – more than an inch – today.
Defiant Relay For Life secretary and vice-chairman Rhona Guild commented: “Things would have to be pretty dire for us to pull the plug.”
