An Angus music event has become the latest victim of the atrocious weather.
Barry Mill music festival and family fun day was to take place from 12.30pm-8pm on Saturday but has been postponed until next month.
Organisers of the event — which helps to raise money to support the National Trust for Scotland historic mill near Carnoustie — say they are bitterly disappointed but were left with no choice after heavy rain throughout Friday and with more forecast for Saturday.
Volunteer Steve Burke said: “Ticket sales had been good so it’s a massive disappointment.
“We’ve had to return generators, cancel food vendors, return toilets, waste bins, refund sponsor money — a huge amount of work for nothing.
“But you can’t compete with Mother Nature — she’s still the boss.”
The event has been rescheduled for Saturday September 28. Tickets will be valid for the new date and organisers are hoping as many as possible will be able to make it then.
However, anyone requiring a refund will be able to request it online.
