A 28-year-old Forfar man has been given a seven-week jail sentence.
Appearing at Forfar Sheriff Court from custody, Gavin Stewart, of Goosecroft, pled guilty to breaching the peace at the Royal nightclub, Forfar on March 25 last year.
The court heard the accused had been drinking with his father and brother when there was an incident involving his father and door staff.
A community payback order had initially been imposed but the accused completed only a single hour of unpaid work.
“You had the opportunity and more to do the work and haven’t taken it so there is no alternative,” said the sheriff.
