The trial of a former Angus youth facility chief executive accused of embezzling almost £35,000 over six years while in the post has been further delayed.
Richard Murray, 55, of Courthillock Gardens, Kirriemuir, appeared before Sheriff Gregor Murray at Forfar where he maintained a not guilty plea to a charge that between April 1 2008 and July 31 2014, at Rossie Young People’s Trust, near Montrose, his Kirriemuir home and elsewhere unknown, he embezzled £34,495 while chief executive officer of the trust.
Murray’s case first called at court in early 2018 and he had been due to face trial next month. A further notional diet was set for September 24.
