A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash on the busiest road through the Mearns.
The collision took place on the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road near Laurencekirk at about 12.15pm.
The incident resulted in the closure of the road southbound, between the A937 and the B974, for about an hour.
A police spokeswoman said the motorcyclist was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with non-life-threatening injuries.
She added: “The incident involved a motorbike on the A90 near Laurencekirk. The road has reopened.”
Earlier Traffic Scotland warned drivers to expect delays on the route.
