This is the moment rescuers were called to save a jet skier left stranded off the Mearns coast at nightfall.
Stonehaven’s RNLI crew were called into action on Sunday at 8.46pm after the man became stuck far from the coastline of the town.
The rescuers launched the Atlantic 75 “Miss Betty” boat and quickly made their way to the broken-down jet ski off Stonehaven Bay.
The machine’s owner was left unable to make his way back to shore and is said to have been “grateful” to the RNLI on their arrival.
The jet skier did not require medical treatment.
Three crew members took part in the operation.
The team brought the man on board and towed the jet ski back to shore.
