Motorists were warned after a crane broke down on one of the busiest roads through Angus on Wednesday morning.
The vehicle ran into trouble on the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road near the Inverarity junction at about 8.40am.
One lane was closed southbound around the turn-off due to the incident.
Police were called to the scene as the vehicle awaited recovery.

Traffic Scotland warned drivers of the incident.
The organisation tweeted: “A90 – one lane is closed southbound at the Inverarity junction due to the broken down crane. Police are on scene. Traffic is coping.”
