A serious single vehicle crash has closed the northbound lane of the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road near Brechin.
Police, firefighters and paramedics have been called to the scene near Balnabreich following the accident around 9.15am on Tuesday.
The nearside lane is expected to remain closed for some time.
Police have warned drivers to expect delays.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said two appliances – one from Brechin and another from Montrose – were called to the scene.
She added: “We are no longer at the scene. Police are dealing with it.”

The extent of injuries suffered by those involved is not known at this time.
Earlier a Tayside Police Division spokesman said: “We are currently dealing with a one-vehicle road traffic collision on the A90 at Balnabreich near Brechin.
“One lane is closed northbound and may be for some time. Traffic is moving well enough at the moment, but please keep this in mind if you are in the area.”

Traffic Scotland posted: “One lane is currently restricted due to a road traffic accident. Road users are advised to use caution on approach.”
